Zugzwang and Sergey Alexandrovich Karjakin. He was born on January 12, 1990 in the city of Simferopol – Russian chess player and grandmaster (2003).
At the age of 12 years and 211 days, he became the youngest grandmaster in history, entered into the Guinness Book of Records (in 2021, Karjakin’s record was broken by Abhimanyu Mishra). He won the Candidates Tournament in 2016, but lost to reigning world champion Magnus Carlsen in the 2016 World Chess Championship match. Winner of the 2015 FIDE World Cup. World champion in rapid chess (Astana, 2012), world champion in blitz (Doha, 2016), two-time winner of the World Team Championship as part of the Russian team (2013 and 2019).
