16-year-old Olympiad Gold medalist Gukesh was the youngest participant of the Tata Steel Masters 2023. This was Gukesh’s first-ever classical super tournament and the pressure was seeming to be mounting up as could only score 1.5 points out of a possible 7. In the eighth round, he was set to face arguably one of the best players of all time – Magnus Carlsen. Gukesh played one of the best games of the tournament to hold the five-time world champion to a draw. After the game, Gukesh was quick to ask Magnus for an analysis and they analyzed the game for fifty minutes. In the video, Gukesh describes what they discussed and why it was so special for the youngster.
