“Till now, my opponents were just giving me free pieces!”
These were the words of Aaryan Amol Waghmere (1350, Maharashtra) after his relatively quick win against Kiyan Kevalkumar Patel (1244, Gujrat). This was the first game to finish among the top 5 Boards of the Open section, so for a brief moment, Aaryan was the sole leader of the event with 4/4. Today he will face Aarav Sarbalia (1458, Karnataka) in the 5th Round – only one of them will stay in the top. Check out the post-game interview with Aaryan and get to know his thoughts on the game, his performance and the competition.
