We got to know about Narayani when she travelled for more than 500 kms to meet Gukesh when the youngster was in Mumbai for a simul. In the next 8 months, the girl has worked extremely hard and has become the under-7 national girls champion of India. She did this with a fantastic score of 8.5/9. In this interview we speak to Narayani, who is a girl of few words, and see her favourite game from this tournament. We also speak to her coach Siddhik Adanwale who has played a crucial role in moulding her into a fine player.
We felicitated Narayani at the Big Chess Winter Camp with Rs.50,000 for her achievements via the HelpChess Foundation. This amount was sponsored by Amit Mantri.
