Boris Gelfand has worked with Arjun Erigaisi in the past as a trainer. And now they both were pitted against each other at the Gashimov Memorial 2023. Boris opened the game with 1.Nf3 and on the 4th move itself Arjun gave up his bishop to double white’s pawns. The result was an imbalanced struggle that could have gone either way. Check out the battle along with the commentary by IM Sagar Shah.
