Both GM Diptayan Ghosh (2539) and the Asian Continental 2022 Silver medalist, GM Harsha Bharathakoti (2481) scored 7.5/9 each at Chessemy Open 2023 Blitz. Diptayan had already defeated Harsha in the seventh round. However, direct encounter was not part of a tie-break, so it didn’t count. They both had to play two Playoff games as per the tournament regulations. This is the first tie-break game. Everything was going fine but then something unexpected happened. Find out who made what error and also who just gently banged the table at the end after a sudden finish.
A Special thanks to Chessemy for sharing this video.
