WGM Divya Deshmukh, the current 16-year-old reigning national champion of India had a slow start at the Chess Olympiad 2022. She was on 2.0/4. But in the last five rounds, she picked up pace and scored 5.0/5 to finish with a 7.0/9 score. Thanks to this performance, her team finished 8th and Divya got the bronze medal on board 5.
