WGM Divya Deshmukh, the current 16-year-old reigning national champion of India had a slow start at the Chess Olympiad 2022. She was on 2.0/4. But in the last five rounds, she picked up pace and scored 5.0/5 to finish with a 7.0/9 score. Thanks to this performance, her team finished 8th and Divya got the bronze medal on board 5. After the event we spoke to Divya about what turned around and which were her favourite games.
