Recently the All India Chess Federation held its elections and at the end of it a 24-year-old youngster named Dev Patel from Gujarat became the Secretary of the Federation. Chess in India is getting younger each day with players beginning their journey as early as 2.5-3 years. But it’s very interesting to note that the administration in the country is also becoming younger. In this interview we get to know the Secretary of AICF better and also acquaint ourselves with his vision for Indian chess.
