Anish Giri is the current world no. 7 and the third seed at the Qatar Masters Open 2023 behind Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura. He doesn’t usually play in open tournaments, but this one is important from the FIDE circuit standings. Anish played with the white pieces against IM Rohith Krishna (2434) from India.
