Elevate your chess with this thrilling speedrun! Join GM Naroditsky as he breaks down three dynamic games, showcasing tactical precision and strategic mastery.

In the first game (Alapin, 1. e4 c5 2. c3 d6), we exploit Black’s passive d6 with a powerful central setup. Moves like d5 and a4 target weaknesses, surrounding the b5 pawn and creating tactical opportunities. Learn how to capitalize on Black’s undeveloped pieces, using knight maneuvers (Ne2-g3) and precise queen placement to win material and deliver a wire-to-wire victory, culminating in a checkmate.

The second game (Glek, 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 d6) punishes Black’s passive bishop setup. With d4 and Bg5, we open the center, landing a knight on d5 to pressure Black’s king. A devastating dxc6 fork seals the game, highlighting the dangers of leaving the king exposed and neglecting development.

In the third game (Accelerated Dragon, 1. e4 c5 2. Nc3 Nc6), we play Black, countering White’s setup with a double fianchetto. Despite a sloppy finish, we demonstrate queenside expansion (a6, b5) and tactical ideas like Rc8, targeting c2. Learn how to recover from miscalculations and convert advantages, even under time pressure.

Key takeaways:

-Aggressive Central Control: Use d5 and d4 to dominate passive openings.
-Tactical Awareness: Spot forks and pins to exploit weak squares.
-Positional Play: Restrict opponents with moves like h3 and flexible development.
-Endgame Conversion: Maintain pressure to turn material advantages into wins.
-Avoid Autopilot: Stay concrete to avoid missing critical defensive resources.
-Perfect for sharpening your tactics and opening play. Like and subscribe for more speedrun content!

(4/4) On another note I could do with some tips on how to get a good sleep. It seems like I am a fully fledged insomniac. 😵‍💫
I was in bed at 1am last night but didn't even manage to get 1 minutes sleep after tossing and turning all night. Been awake for about 40 hours now. 😱

(3/4) I missed one very likely obvious winning move.
Here I played Bg2? but I should just play Qh6!
For some reason I had missed ...Qxh6 Bxh6 ...Nxc3 a3! Which is game over.
In the end I lost 😔 after Johann played excellently.
