Women’s World Champion Ju Wenjun made a wonderful start to the Sharjah Masters 2023 by beating GM Karthikeyan Murali and GM Vidit Gujrathi. With 3.0/4, she was one of the leaders of the tournament and was facing the Armenian no.2 Haik Martirosyan. Born in 2000, 22-year-old Haik is the future of Armenian chess. He is pawn up in the endgame, but has to solve some technical issues. Check out if he manages to do that along with the instructive commentary of IM Sagar Shah. You are sure to learn something more about the bishop vs knight endgames.
