Gukesh has done exceptionally well in the year 2023 to be one of the people in with a chance in the FIDE Circuit to get the spot in the Candidates 2024. But currently it is Anish Giri who is leading the circuit. That is the reason why Gukesh has travelled to London to take part in the 13th London Chess Classic 2023. Gukesh is the top seed and if he wins this event he will be at the top of the leaderboard. We bring you his first round game against a strong Polish GM Mateusz Bartel.
