GM Anna Muzychuk (UKR, 2504) eliminated GM Elisabeth Paehtz (GER, 2471) in a back and forth tie-break where five games ended decisively before finishing with a draw. Despite losing the first 25’+10″ Rapid tie-break game, Anna won the second one on demand. She won the first 10’+10″ too before losing the next one. Then she was victorious in the 5’+3″ Blitz game. For the second consecutive Women’s World Cup, three women – GM Anna Muzychuk, GM Zhongyi Tan (CHN) and GM Aleksandra Goryachkina are in the Semifinals.
