This academy is run like an Edtech Company! Upstep Chess Academy

Upstep Chess Academy has trained over 25000 students online. We visited the academy in Mumbai and were very surprised to see how it was run. The academy has more than 40 employees, but none of them actually work on chess. They are into Sales, HR, Marketing and other fields. In fact the coaches work from home and do online training. The academy was co-founded by Salil Ghate and Abhijit Hatkar, two chess players from Mumbai and they also work with 5-time World Champion Vishy Anand, who helps them to train their trainers.
