The Champions Chess Tour Finals 2023 is an 8-player tournament, held from the 9th to the 16th of December in Toronto, Canada.
The final event of this year’s Champions Chess Tour by Chess.com features Super Grandmasters Magnus Carlsen, Hikaru Nakamura & Alireza Firouzja and a total prize fund of $500,000.
Players will compete in a round-robin stage, followed by a Survival stage and a single-elimination knockout.
Time control is 15 minutes for the entire game with a 3-second increment from move 1.
In the event of a tie, a Bidding Armageddon game will be played with a base time of 15 minutes.
