Sowmya M Upadhyaya the President of the Bengaluru Urban District Chess Association(BUDCA) and the tournament director of the 1st Bangalore International Grandmasters Open 2024, joins us in a conversation where she shares her journey. Sowmya is a chess parent who has traveled with her children to various chess tournaments. With BUDCA, she envisioned the scope of the biggest tournament in Karnataka and with the successful completion of the tournament the mission seems to be accomplished.
