Arshiya Das is 11 years old and lives in Agartala, Tripura. Coming from a place that doesn’t have a deep chess culture, Arshiya has managed to make her mark with her powerful performances. We speak to her father Purnendu Das, who tells us what exactly it takes to create a world class chess talent – the amount of sponsorships, the amount sacrifices. The aim is to become the first WGM from North East India. Get to know more about this young talent from the word’s of her father.
