The life story of the boy who beat Carlsen, Nakamura and So – Denis Lazavik

We did this interview back in November 2023, a couple of days after the FIDE Grand Swiss ended at the Isle of Man. At the airport, we spotted the young talent Denis Lazavik. Back then he had beaten Wesley So at the Champions Chess Tour and had qualified to the finals. Recently he beat Hikaru Nakamura and Magnus Carlsen. This youngster from Belarus, born in 2006, is definitely someone to keep an eye out for. We had forgotten to publish his interview and today we found this video file. And so here is the interview with Denis Lazavik that tells us more about him as a player.
