There are some stories that move us, some inspire us and some leave us with a lot of questions. Such is the story of Ram Aravind who could have become someone totally different from what he is today but life had other plans for him. With a rating of almost 2000 at the age of 10, Ram Aravind was set to conquer the world of chess and engrave his name along with the greatest chess players of the nation. Defeating the world’s number 1 in a simul has been a tough task for even the best players of the world and this guy did it when he was 10. Considered as of the strongest youngsters at that time, Ram Aravind suddenly vanished from the world of chess.
In the interview, he talks about his life through these years outside chess and how he had focused on academics and is now pursuing MBBS. He also mentioned that it was hard for him to disassociate with chess but he is now happy that he is back.
