Sometimes Surviving 50 moves in a ♖♗ vs ♖ Endgame is Not Enough

Rook and Bishop vs Rook Endgames are extremely common at World Rapid and Blitz events. In the very first round of World Rapid 2022, GM Manuel Petrosyan (ARM, 2539) had a Rook and Bishop against FM Abilmansur Abdilkhair (KAZ, 2171). The 19-year-old Kazakh managed to survive 50 moves. However, he did not do one thing correctly. Can you find out what he should have done to get a draw? He blundered on the 50th move and the checkmate became inevitable on the 51st move.
