We, as chess lovers and people trying to improve at the game, are always looking at the masterpieces of the great champions of the past. Games of Rubinstein or Capablanca have become classics which have been studied through generations. In recent times, it’s difficult to pin point towards such games because the quantum of the games that are being played is so huge that it has been difficult to keep a track.
But if there was one game that we can point towards in recent times which teaches us the power of two bishops, it has to be this one between Magnus Carlsen and Wesley So. What an absolutely incredible encounter! A modern day classic for sure!
