Nihal Sarin beat Paulius Pultinevicius at the 2nd round of the European Club Cup 2023 to achieve a live rating of 2700. Nihal becomes the 9th Indian to do so after Anand, Sasikiran, Harikrishna, Vidit, Adhiban, Gukesh, Arjun and Praggnanandhaa. He did so at the age of 19 years and 2 months.
