Few would capture a poisoned pawn against Mikhail Tal, but evidently, GM Wolfgang Uhlmann thought the c3-pawn was only slightly poisoned pawn. Missing Tal’s amazing knight sacrifice to open the e-file, he fell victim to one of Tal’s finest miniateures.
Lessons:
* Don’t take poisoned pawns.
* Castle early.
* Open the e-file against an uncastled king.
