Meet Anastasia Sorokina – WIM, former FIDE Vice President, Organizer, Trainer and more!

Anastasia Sorokina started her chess journey as the niece of the famous GM Viktor Kupreichik, But in the next few years, she has achieved so much that people can now say that Kupreichik is the uncle of Anastasia! She has won several national titles in Belarus, she is the FIDE Vice President, she has trained kids all over the world, and she was responsible for conducting the WR Chess Juniors event. Players from 78 countries took part in the qualifiers. And 12 of them got a chance to visit Dusseldorf and train with Gelfand and Elizabeth Paehtz. In this interview we know more about the work Anastasia has done for the WR Chess tournament and also her life in general.
