In this video, I played a blitz game against das_auto (1747) on lichess.org. I attempted to partake on the hot new craze: The Jerome Gambit.
This meme-worthy opening begins as a normal Italian game and then features the unsound, but electrifying sacrifice 4.Bxf7??! As a complete noob to the opening theory, I deviated from the mainline, but managed to win back material quite quickly. The game entered a surprisingly quiet and positional middle game. However, I proceeded to mess up by getting distracted by the Twitch chat and gambitted most of my time. Upon reaching a seemingly hopeless, I did not give up. Watch until the end for an unexpected finish!
