Arguably, one of the finest chess trainers in the world, Ivan Sokolov has let his results speak for itself. He helped Uzbekistan win the gold at the Chess Olympiad in 2022. Prior to that he was the coach of the Iranian national team that had players like Maghsoodloo, Firouzja and others. This year at the Chess Olympiad 2024, he will be the trainer of the Romanian team.
