India’s Got Chess Talent Finale | Chess Pathshala vs Wings of Fire | Delphinus vs Debashis Das

There are many players in who are extremely passionate about chess but are unable to improve. They lack the guidance and direction. With India’s Got Chess Talent we plan to help 32 chess lovers from all across India get trained under 4 of the most competent trainers of our country. The 32 players, from 14 different states and 2 Union Territories of India, have been selected through a rigorous process of over 700+ applicants. The four mentors are GM Debashis Das, GM Shyam Sundar, GM Swapnil Dhopade and GM Swayams Mishra. Each team has 8 participants and the training sessions of each team will happen on the ChessBase India YouTube channel. This will culminate into semi-finals and finals between the teams with the winning team getting special prizes and a special IGCT scholarship that will be announced by the winning mentor.

Today 13th of September 2022 is the grand finale. We have the following semi finals:

Semi-Finals 1 at 7 pm IST:
Team Wings of Fire vs Team Chess Pathshala
Board 1 – Debapriya Manna vs PRATIBHA PI
Board 2 – Tizya Kumar vs Kunal Gupta
Board 3 – Amit Jagwani vs Ameena N K
Board 4 – Mitul K H vs Raj Pandya
Board 5 – Om Prajapati vs Shubhi Gupta
Board 6 – Abhinav Bhatt vs Karthik S
Board 7 – Nawin M.S vs Nirnay Garg
Board 8 Manmay Chopra vs Bhavik Ahuja

Semi-Finals 2 at 8 p.m. IST
Team Debashis Das vs Team Delphinus
Board 1 – SHRIHAAN KARMAKAR vs Supriya Gupta
Board 2 – Samhita Pungavanam vs Arnob Dutta
Board 3 – Shashini Puvi vs Hiya Garg
Board 4 – Andalamala Hemal Varshan vs Navvye Anand
Board 5 – Ujaan Bhattacharya vs Rithvik
Board 6 – Marium Fatima vs Aniket Narayan Biswas
Board 7 – Honi Arora vs Vaibhav Gautam
Board 8 – Garv Gaur vs Ayush Naik

The finals will be at 9 pm IST between the two winning teams.

Schedule and Format:
The semi-finals 1 will be between Team Wings of Fire of Shyam Sundar and Chess Pathshala of Swapnil Dhopade. Semi-finals 2 will take place between Team Debashis Das and Team Delphinus of Swayams Mishra. Each match will be 8 games of 15 minutes + 10 seconds increment. In case of a 4-4 tie, we will have an Armageddon.

Prizes:
Each member of the winning team will receive gift voucher of Rs.10,000 from ChessBase India to buy products that will boost their chess and help them improve at the game. In addition the coach of the winning team will be able to decide the winner of the India’s Got Chess Talent Scholarship of Rs.50,000 that will be instituted via the HelpChess Foundation.

(4/4) On another note I could do with some tips on how to get a good sleep. It seems like I am a fully fledged insomniac. 😵‍💫
I was in bed at 1am last night but didn't even manage to get 1 minutes sleep after tossing and turning all night. Been awake for about 40 hours now. 😱

(3/4) I missed one very likely obvious winning move.
Here I played Bg2? but I should just play Qh6!
For some reason I had missed ...Qxh6 Bxh6 ...Nxc3 a3! Which is game over.
In the end I lost 😔 after Johann played excellently.
