Kerala’s very own IM Jubin Jimmy clinched the CCS Chess Festival 2023 FIDE Open Rapid championship with a score of 8/9. It was a very close finish as seven players had a score of 7/8 with one round to go. Jubin defeated Kunal M to win the championship due to better tie-breaks.
In the interview, he shares his experience of playing in the tournament and also how essential the win against GM Bharath Subramaniyam H was in the eighth round where he spotted a brilliant tactic.
He also shares his chess journey and how he has become one of the strongest players in Kerala all by himself.
