This game between Hans Niemann and Parham Maghsoodloo at the World Rapid Championships 2022 was filled with so many ups and downs. Firstly, Maghsoodloo built up a completely winning position out of the opening and into the middlegame. But then he sacrificed material which was not necessary, to give Hans chances. Niemann played really well and got a great position. In fact at some point he even missed a mate in three! But the final position was quite curious. Niemann didn’t like his position and claimed for a draw. Parham didn’t agree to a draw and wanted the arbiters to check. The engine shouts that it’s a winning advantage for White! What was going on?! It was all so confusing. Check the video to understand it all.
