Hans Niemann scored one of the biggest wins of his career by beating Richard Rapport in the 4th round of the FIDE Grand Swiss 2023. The game was an intense one and in this interview Hans analyzes many of the variations which he was thinking about during the game. He also speaks about his previous win over Shamsiddin Vokhidov and how he is liking the Isle of Man. We ask him if he is already thinking about the top 2 finish and being a part of the Candidates and he responds back with, “I will reach there someday. It’s not important when one becomes a World Champion, only if one becomes a World Champion!”
