GM Mitrabha Guha makes a phenomenal debut at World Rapid 2021

Mitrabha scored 8.5/13, including wins over Aryan Tari, Rinat Jumabayev, Alexandr Predke, Volodymyr Onyshchuk, Baadur Jobava, drew with two former World Rapid champions, Sergey Karjakin and Daniil Dubov

He secured 15th place, second highest among Indians, finished ahead of Dubov, Vachier-Lagrave, Firouzja, Gelfand, Korobov, Giri and Artemiev. They are the only two Indians to finish in top 30 in the Open section. Check out Mitrabha’s thoughts of his games.
