We shot a video in 2019 at the World Blitz Championships where after losing a game Volodar Murzin spent nearly 3 minutes on the board with his head in his hands. At that point we realized how much chess means to this youngster. A big result was just around the corner for the lad. And he finally delivered in 2024 winning the World Rapid Championships! What a Champion! This interview is done right after he took home the World Rapid title ahead of some of the biggest names in the world of chess like Caruana, Nakamura, Nepo and many more. How did he do it? We get to know in this interview with the 18-year-old youngster.
