In this continuation of the “Climbing the Rating Ladder” series I take on players of various ratings levels while pointing out typical mistakes and spots for improvement along the way (possibly my own!? :)). Here I commentate a 5+5 game against a player (a viewer, in fact!) rated 1510 on Chess.com. From the Magnus Carlsen-inspired Sveshnikov Sicilian, my opponent plays a suboptimal knight retreat (6.Nb3), and I soon win a pawn. White creatively attempts to regain the material deficit with 9.Bxe5, but this brings about a classic opportunity on the e-file. #Chess #ChessInstruction #ClimbingTheRatingLadder
