Even TOP Grandmasters make HUGE Blunders – Carlsen vs Duda – SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz Croatia

The SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz Croatia will be held from the 5th to the 9th of July in Zagreb, Croatia as a 10-player round robin. It is part of the Grand Chess Tour, a series of Classical, Rapid and Blitz tournaments with a total prize pool of $1,400,000.

For the Rapid and Blitz events, the games in the rapid portion are worth twice as many points as their blitz counterparts. The rapid portion is a 10-player round-robin, and the blitz portion is a 10-player double round-robin.

In the event of a tie, the two tied players will play a mini-match of 2 rapid (10+5) games. If more than two players are tied, a blitz (5+3) round-robin will be held to determine the winner.

The time control for the rapid games is 25 minutes for the entire game with a 10-second increment beginning from move 1.

The time control for the blitz games is 5 minutes for the entire game with a 2-second increment beginning from move 1.

(4/4) On another note I could do with some tips on how to get a good sleep. It seems like I am a fully fledged insomniac. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«
I was in bed at 1am last night but didn't even manage to get 1 minutes sleep after tossing and turning all night. Been awake for about 40 hours now. 😱

(3/4) I missed one very likely obvious winning move.
Here I played Bg2? but I should just play Qh6!
For some reason I had missed ...Qxh6 Bxh6 ...Nxc3 a3! Which is game over.
In the end I lost πŸ˜” after Johann played excellently.
