Develop Your Instincts!
Hey everyone! Two absolutely wild games from today’s speedrun where we get to see what happens when kings get caught in the center or when players get too ambitious with their pawn storms. In game one (~1600 rated opponent), we punished an early kingside expansion with a textbook attack, culminating in a beautiful queen sac. In game two (~1500), we showed why you need to think twice before pushing pawns in front of your king – mate in 13!
These games perfectly demonstrate why I always emphasize king safety in my speedruns. When the center opens up and your king is exposed, no amount of material can save you!
Special thanks to the opponents for these instructive games! Don’t forget to like and subscribe for more speedrun content!
