Chess 960, also known as Fischer Random Chess, is a variant of chess, introduced by Bobby Fischer ! Rules are the same, chess board is the same, same pieces as well, just the placement of the pieces is different. There are a total of 960 different positions in which the pieces can be set up in the initial position – all pieces still on back rank, and pawns still on 2nd rank, and white’s and black’s position still mirror each other .
