GM Shyam Sundar M (2518) is a very strong player and an excellent coach too. One of his students, WGM Nandhidhaa P V (2309) has won Asian Continental Women Chess Championship 2022 with a round to spare. While student clinched the gold with a score of 7.5/9, the coach Shyam scored 6/9 which is good too, considering the fact that his play was a last moment decision.
