In this continuation of the “Climbing the Rating Ladder” series I take on players of various ratings levels while pointing out typical mistakes and spots for improvement along the way (possibly my own!? :)). Here I commentate a 10+0 game against a player rated 2140 on Chess.com. The King’s Indian Attack (1.Nf3, 2.g3, and 3.Bg2) is a popular system where White typically castles kingside and tries to break with e2-e4 or c2-c4. My opponent chooses the latter plan in this game and also secures the bishop pair. In the middlegame White is quick to execute another pawn break, though it may be a flawed operation.
