Prawiarwac is OUR FIRST KING OF THE CASTLE.
Now that we have our first KING OF THE CASTLE the following RULES apply for the further course of the competition:
1. Eight qualifying tournaments will be played (Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays), followed by one final tournament
2. To qualify for the final tournament players must win one of the first three places in any of the qualifying tournaments. One such result is enough! (If the same players win multiple such spots in multiple qualifying tournaments in one of the series, the fourth, fifth, places will qualify.)
3. Three more places in the final tournament are reserved for the top three players from the final tournament in the previous series. Since the winner of the previous series is THE KING challenger, he will also be able to join the next final tournament in the case he was not successful in dethroning THE KING. If THE KING was dethroned in the previous series, he can also join the next final tournament.
4. The winner of the final tournament is the new KING challenger.
5. The challenger and THE KING OF THE CASTLE play a match of 12 games (4 games: 3 + 2, 4 games: 3 + 0 and 4 games 1+0) and the one who wins becomes THE KING OF THE CASTLE or retains the title.
6. If the result is 6-6 then two games are played at a tempo of 1 + 0 until we get the overall winner (so if the result is 1-1, a new match of two games is played and so on).
7. All the cheaters will be disqualified and banned. For our tournaments we follow the Lichess Terms of Service.
8. The organizer reserves the right to invite VIP guests players to the final tournaments, with special invitation. The VIP players will not be regarded as the KING challengers.
