2022 has proved to be a breakthrough year for chess in North East India. It was the first time that a GM tournament was held in the history of Indian chess in North East India. We speak to the secretary of AICF Bharat Singh Chauhan regarding the same. He also speaks about the upcoming tournaments in India and the plan that AICF has to boost Indian chess in 2022.
