“Grandmasters are not so tough” | 11-year-old Ethan Vaz makes his first IM norm | Abu Dhabi 2023

The youngest participant of the 29th Abu Dhabi Masters, FM Ethan Vaz (2306) scored 4.5/9 and earned his first IM norm. He defeated two top IMs, Ajay Karthikeyan, and Ravi Teja S. He also defeated the very strong Amirreza Pour Agha Bala from Iran. Young Ethan shares his experience of playing at such a strong tournament and also about his future plans and more.
