“I am just happy that I am rewarded for my hard work” – IM Nurgyul Salimova | Women’s World Cup 2023

Bulgaria no.2 woman IM Nurgyul Salimova became the only IM and also the sole player who has played the first round to advance to the FIDE Women’s World Cup 2023 Semifinals. She talks about her rollercoaster match against IM Polina Shuvalova in the Quarterfinals, her favorite games of the match, whom she is currently working with and more.
