From #11 to #2 | The Epic Comeback of IM Mohammad Nubairshah Shaikh | National Rapid and Blitz 2023

It is all about persistence when it comes to the biggest stages of the game. IM Mohammad Nubairshah Shaikh was placed 11th at the end of 8 rounds at the MPL National Blitz Chess Championship 2023 with a score of 5.5 out of a possible 8. In the next three rounds, he won all his games to finish second with an impressive score of 8.5/11. Though he tied with the same score as the young IM Avinash Ramesh, he was adjudged the first runner-up due to better tie-breaks. In the interview, he talks about his experience of playing at the tournament and also shares his future plans.
