“That’s Brilliant!” Nepo after getting to know Gukesh’s winning line | WR Chess 2023

Ian Nepomniachtchi has been super solid at the WR Chess Masters 2023 with 5 draws out of 5 games. But in the 5th round he very nearly lost his game to the 16-year-old super talent Gukesh! After the game we caught up with Nepo to get his thoughts on the encounter. Turns out that both the players had missed the winning line. But when Nepo got to know the winning move, he worked out the entire sequence in the interview itself and ended it with the words “That’s brilliant!” All we have to say is that, it was brilliant by Nepo that he found all the variations there!
