The Finals of Meltwater Champions Chess Tour 2022 season starts tonight. Tour champion, Magnus Carlsen will be joined by Jan-Krzysztof Duda, Liem Quang Le, Wesley So, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, R Praggnanandhaa, Arjun Erigaisi and Anish Giri. Four players – Carlsen, So, Praggnanandhaa and Giri will compete from SHACK15 in San Francisco, California in USA, while the other four will play remotely in a unique online and in-person hybrid round-robin tournament.
