GM Harsha Bharathakoti (2582) is having a fantastic year. He finished third at 19th Delhi GM Open 2022, second at Paris idF Masters, third at Czech Open Rapid and won the 24th HZ University of Applied Sciences University Open. Now he won the Silver medal at Asian Continental Chess Championship 2022 Open in his first attempt at this event. He scored an unbeaten 6.5/9 to finish second and qualified to the FIDE World Cup 2023. He also drew with the eventual champion, GM R Praggnanandhaa in the sixth round.
