Ayush Sharma played the tournament of his life scoring his maiden GM norm at the Dubai Open 2022. It also helped him to achieve his 2nd IM norm. Ayush beat many strong players like Arjun Kalyan, Thejkumar, Nisipeanu and Kushagra Mohan on his route to not only achieving the GM norm but also gaining 81 Elo points.
