Amulya Guruprasad is Indian but lives in Qatar. She came to Romania to play at the World Youth Championships 2022 in the under-14 girls section. With a rating of 1278 she lost her first round to a 1600+ rated opponent. Nothing outstanding or special about it. However, what transpired next was quite astonishing! Amulya has won all of her 6 games, and all of them against higher rated opponents gaining a massive 218 Elo points already! 4 more rounds are left at the event, but Amulya is leading by half a point with a score of 6.0/7. Check out this game where she plays against Maia Arzur from France and employs the London System.
