MPL 10th National School Chess Championships 2022 started on Monday 16th May
A total of 969 players are taking part from various schools across the nation in Under-7, 9, 11, 13, 15, and 17 in the Open and Girls category.
12 champions in 12 different age categories will be crowned on 20th May 2022.
The tournament was inaugurated by IM Padmini Rout, Ranjan Mohanty, Joint Secretary, AICF, Dr. Gaganendu Dash, Director General Sports, KIIT and KISS, Gobinda Chandra Mahapatra, President, All Odisha Chess Association, Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Vice-Chancellor, KIIT University, Debabrata Bhatta, Hony. Secretary, All Odisha Chess Association, and Prof. J R Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT University.
